Many Leduc residents believe that nobody can throw a street party like them and tomorrow, July 21, tourists and locals will take to the streets for the city’s third annual Main Street festival along 50 Main Street, Leduc’s picturesque and historic downtown core.
Featuring performers and entertainers for spectators of all ages, the events will take place from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm and festivities will feature a petting zoo for children, outdoor market for shoppers, street performers, children’s activities, antique vehicle displays for car enthusiasts, and organics and waste cart displays. Everyone is welcome to the family-oriented party.
Local retailers are hoping that local attendees will pop into some of the shops of the neighborhood core, so expect more poster printing to be displayed in shop windows over the next few weeks.
The organics and waste cart displays Forms part of the city’s new Curbside Cart Collection and Recycling Program initiative, which will now include a green organic waste cart, a black cart for garbage, and an organic kitchen container. The expressed initiative of the new program will be waste reduction and conservation and it will be introduced at the city’s party.
The new Curbside Cart Collection and Recycling Program will be promoted and spread to homeowners before being launched on September 17. Mailed flyer printing would be a great way to spread word about the new environmental program and reach a large target audience in a short period of time.
Leduc city representatives will also be on site at tomorrow’s Main Street party.
