Leduc parents invited to training session

Parents and caregivers in Leduc who are interested in forming stronger connections with their son or daughter may wish to save the date for an upcoming workshop that will be held in the Leduc Civic Centre.

The event will cover an assortment of areas, staring with the roots of attachment which occurs in the brain at a neurological level. An range of parenting strategies will be discussed, with the objective of helping those who participate find ways of supporting and fostering their child’s emotional development. The session will draw to a close with an overview of steps that can be taken to ensure that the home is a calm and nurturing space where a child can grow and thrive.

The event has been organized by The Institute of Child Psychology, and will be facilitated by a registered psychologist. The ticket price for the seminar is $30, and a subsidy is available for caregivers and parents who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Comb binding can be utilized to craft training manuals for the participants to use in a session such as this, and at the end of the evening.
