The event is a combination market and job fair for businesses and non-profit organizations from throughout the Leduc area. Visitors can sign up for fall and winter programs with local community organizations, as well as sample the services and products of home-based businesses. Job seekers can also talk to prospective employers. There will be resources provided for job-hunters such as a free professional interviews and reviews of resumes. Having the right Business Cards and resumes can be critical to making a splash at career events such as this one.
The Showcase is part of the month-long Culture Days celebration in Leduc, meant to highlight local creators and drive business to the downtown area. Other events in the series include dance and theatre performances, glass art workshops, and martial arts demonstrations. The job-fair will be jointly hosted by the Leduc Downtown Business Association and the Leduc, Nisku and Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce, with local businesses and sponsors able to register online to take part.
