The upcoming Youth Wellness Symposium in Leduc will focus on promoting health among young people, as well as showcasing local talent.
Aimed at teens 13 to 18, the Symposium will feature a mixture of speakers and breakout sessions designed to build skills to maintain mental and physical health. One of the features will be a “Jack Talk” provided by public health website jack.org, discussing the importance of mental health and self-care. The day will also include a talent showcase with local teen artists and performers showing off their skills. The talent showcase will be drawn from submissions from the local community through the city of Leduc’s website.
The Symposium will also include food and complementary gifts as part of a “swag bag.” Educational events such as this often use Promotional Products to both further the message and provide a memento of the occasion. The event is produced by the City of Leduc Family Resource Network and Leduc County Family Resource Network, and both organizations aim to create a hub through services for children and families in the city. Attendance priority will be given to Leduc residents, as well as teens from Leduc County municipalities such as Beaumont and New Sarepta.
The Youth Wellness Symposium will take place at the Leduc Recreation Centre on the afternoon of November 10.
