The morning event will feature activities and attractions aimed at kids, including a bouncy castle, Halloween face painting, and stations for arts and crafts. This is all part of the Little Smiles program, which is aimed to introduce children to dentistry and help combat the common childhood fear and apprehension around going to the dentist. Kids can try out the tools at the dental office and meet the dentists and assistants, who will be playing the role of Halloween characters.
The organizers, Alexandra Park Dental, stress the community nature of the event:
“This is always just as much fun for our team as it is for the little ones, and we couldn't be more excited to see the reactions from children and families alike!”
The Little Smiles events are held multiple times a year with different themes, typically after holidays or seasons. They are part of Alexandra Park’s larger community outreach program to promote dental health in children, which also includes presentations in local schools. Outreach campaigns such as this often use brochure printing and promotional items to leave a lasting impression.
The Little Smiles Halloween event will take place at Alexandra Park Dental’s office in the JHF Professional Building in Leduc on the morning of October 21.
