Leduc Chamber to hold annual Career Fair

The Leduc & Wetaskiwn Regions Chamber of Commerce will be holding its annual Business Expo & Career Fair this April, looking to attract jobseekers as well as businesses, entrepreneurs and consumers.

In addition to the functions of a conventional career fair, the expo is designed to help local businesses showcase their wares or services. The expo is designed to have something for everyone, and past events have included family entertainment like a pancake breakfast, face painting, and visits from the Easter Bunny.

For consumers, it can be a chance to shop for spring services such as lawnscaping or renovation or perhaps pick up some Promotional Products. Past expos have included major businesses like Co-Op, Costco, Jiffy Lube, Royal LePage and Scotiabank, as well as beloved local establishments.

But for others, the event will be serious business. Job seekers come to career fairs like this armed with resumes and Business Cards, often fresh from nearby Print shops, and dressed to impress. For business owners and entrepreneurs, it’s a chance to network and make connections that can become long-lasting business relationships or even friendships. The Leduc Expo regularly attracts over 3,500 attendees as well as more than 90 exhibitors and vendors.

The 2020 edition of the Business Expo & Career Fair will take place on April 18-19 at the Leduc Rec Centre.
