Leduc area music fest to play again

The Devon Music Festival, also known as Devon Fest, will be returning to the Leduc area this summer with a weekend of outdoor live music.

The festival features a number of local artists, primarily in the country and folk genres. Headlining the Friday night show will be best-selling, Alberta-born and Nashville-based country artist Aaron Goodvin. The event will also feature a number of Canadian country stars such as Bobby Wills, Tim and the Glory Boys, and Kasey Kulyk. Closing out the weekend will be Canadian country radio hitmaker Tyler Joe Miller, known for songs such as “Sometimes I Do” and “Never Met a Beer.”

The broader Devon Fest will include beverage gardens and vendors from throughout the southern Alberta area. Confirmed food trucks include the Pink Flamingo Eats & Treats, Smoke ‘n Spundz, and Lemon Grass Grill, providing a variety of food and drink. There will also be a market of other vendors from Devon and surrounding areas such as Leduc and Edmonton. Music festivals such as this, which typically use methods such as flyer printing and local radio to find an audience, can provide major exposure to local businesses, as well as musical artists.

The 2023 Devon Music Festival will take place at Voyageur Park Devon on August 18 and 19, with accommodations for those who need them.
