This April will see the return of Leduc’s Karma Concerts, bringing together artists from across Western Canada to raise money for a local charity.
This year’s edition of the show, the seventh annual instalment, will be headlined by Tim & The Glory Boys, a five-piece Canadian country and roots group headed by bluegrass veteran Tim Neufeld. The show will also feature performances from Nashville-based but Canadian-born country singer Kalsey Kulyk. The night will also include fundraising events such as live and silent auctions, bingo and other games. Local food and drink will be on offer throughout the night. The concert aims to be a “cabaret style” night with plenty of crowd participation and rowdiness, supervised by emcee Danny Hooper.
The show, organized by local radio station CFCW, contributes funds towards local causes benefiting children and youth. Past recipients have included the Leduc Boys & Girls Club, MusiCounts Band Aid Program and Leduc & District Food Bank. Charitable events such as this often provide special Promotional Products or exclusive opportunities to help encourage people to donate or purchase larger seat packages, as well as drawing on local sponsors for fundraising and promotion. Over the past seven years, the concert series has raised approximately $150,000 for local charities.
The 2023 edition of Karma Concerts will take place on April 22 at the Leduc Recreation Centre.
