Financial institution marks milestone with donation announcement

The Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB) has reached its 75th year of providing financial services to communities across the province.

The ATB marked the occasion by hosting open house style luncheons at its different locations, where it was announced that $236,000 would be donated to different not-for-profit groups throughout the region.

The organizers of such celebrations and announcements often work closely with printing services to produce Flyers, Posters, and other Forms of promotional material. This way, attendees can be kept informed of what’s going on. Flyers and Brochures are particularly popular as they allow visitors to take the information home to look over in more detail in their own time.

In Leduc, $1,000 is set to be given to the LINX Connect Center, which helps adults with developmental challenges to integrate into their communities.

The ATB was launched back in 1938 in Rocky Mountain House. It was originally intended to provide credit to farmers and other small business owners during the great depression. This was a time when loans were very difficult to obtain, and the big five banks were closing many of their branches in the small towns and villages all across the country.

Today, the group has more than 650,000 customers who are served regularly at 301 locations around Alberta. According to the Financial Post in 2011, it is one of the most secure financial institutions in Canada because it is owned by the province. This means that the government and the provincial taxpayers back all deposits and investments.
