An organization in Leduc has received a great to help it investigate the root causes of homelessness in the area, and also to combat the issue in those it affects.
Leduc County Family and Community Services (FCSS) has received a federal grant of $119,500 through the Alberta Rural Development Network.
One area of concern that will be investigated is the problem of homelessness among those living in rural areas. The FCSS will help those in that situation to obtain ID, a job, and also to address their mental and physical health issues, as well as obtaining permanent housing.
