Culture Days festival planned for downtown Leduc

This September will see the return of Culture Days in Leduc, with a number of events planned for the downtown core.

Part of a nationwide celebration, downtown Leduc’s events are hosted by the Leduc Downtown Business Association to help encourage people to visit the area. Many businesses will include Open Houses, allowing people to sample their services. Connectivity Dance and Relentless Martial Arts will both offer drop-in activities, while Leduc Cinema will provide a free matinee of a culturally-themed film. There will also be historic walking tours of the Leduc Heritage Grain Elevator and Light House Cowork Building, both of which have rich ties to the town’s history.

Following the open house day will be a week-long art exhibit, with works submitted by the community on the subject of culture. Visitors to the exhibit will vote for their favourite work, with the top vote-getter receiving an award. It will also be Downtown Dining Week, with diners provided with a passport to fill up with local restaurants for the opportunity to win an award. Neighbourhood promotional campaigns such as this often see businesses offering special Promotional Products and events to draw in crowds. Culture Day is a series of events held across Canada by individual municipalities to promote multicultural understanding.

The 2023 Culture Days in Leduc events will take place between September 15 and 24 in downtown Leduc.
