What's Happening in Leduc, AB…

Red Deer, AB will be the future venue of 2013’s prestigious biennial Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artists Awards. The celebration will also arrive just in time to ring in the city’s centennial celebrations that year. The annual Distinguished Arts Awards festival draws talents from across the province, including artists from Leduc, AB, Calgary and Edmonton, and is expected to be well received and advertised by local printing companies. Local printers will possibly help promote Red Deer’s special 2013 festivities through banner printings and local advertisements.

The city of Red Deer is already enlisting logistical assistance from Red Deer College, Red Deer Museum and Gallery and the city’s Symphony Orchestra. The Governor or Alberta Awards are expected to be a highlight of the centennial celebrations that year, through extensive promotion. Although local printing companies in Leduc, AB, Red Deer, AB, or Edmonton, AB do not appear on the Foundation's list of sponsors, local printing companies may wish to contact the Arts Awards Foundation to find out how they can become involved in promoting this local event, which honours the most outstanding provincial arts contributions.

This year’s winner recipients were a poet, critic and novelist who hailed from Leduc, AB as well as a sculptor from Edmonton, AB. Local Print companies from Leduc, AB and Edmonton, AB welcomed both contributions to Alberta's arts community.

2011’s Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artists Awards was held in St. Albert, AB and received extended local print coverage.
