Calgary-based photographer releases new book

Print companies in Leduc, Alberta, may be interested to note that a Calgary-based photographer just released a new book that analyzes photographs. In the book by the title of "Why Photographs Work," Canadian author George Barr does something a little different in the book on photography. He takes 52 different and striking pictures which he then analyzes. The different pictures are from some of the best photographers in the entire world.

While Barr provides his own analysis after each striking picture, the photographer behind each image also gets to contribute. Each picture will also feature an explanation by each photographer, who clarifies precisely the how and the why behind each picture in the new book. Besides the explanation from each photographer, more information about each is also provided in the book. A biography of each photographer is included, along with the technical details of his equipment that he used to take the picture and mentions of his commercial websites.

Barr’s analysis takes readers into why each picture has gone into the extraordinary from just the average. In his analysis, Barr hits on the specific intangibles that each photograph has that gives it said quality.

The author is actually a physician by training, but he has been involved in photography since the tender age of only 12. He has been a regular teacher to fellow photographers, medical students and even patients.

Any photographers who find themselves inspired by the book will find that print companies in the Leduc area can offer them excellent reproductions of their photographs
