Business meetup held in Leduc

The Leduc Regional Chamber of Commerce recently held its third annual Business Expo and Trade Fair, drawing thousands to the area.

Over 3,000 people came out to visit the different displays that had been set up by the nearly 75 vendors who had chosen to participate.

It was held in the Leduc Curling Club and, according to the chamber’s communication coordinator, this was the highest number to date of people to attend the expo, while the number of exhibitors stayed the same.

Many displayed Banners and other promotional items, and handed out Brochures that had been prepared for them by a printing company.

Along with giving people the chance to meet with and learn more from representatives of local businesses, there was entertainment and activities for children as well as refreshments provided by various food vendors. Money was raised by both the Kinsmen Club and Dave McKenzie for the local Boys and Girls Club, with more than $5,000 being collected.

The Chamber’s president noted that it is a great way for the public to get to know the area’s business community a little bit, better while having a good time with family and friends. For their part, the firms got a chance to show those who came out what they have to offer them, potentially building their base of future customers and clients.
