Calgary’s Youth Employment Centre (YEC) will be hosting an upcoming event to help those aged 15-24 in their job search.
The YEC will be putting on a Youth Hiring Fair that will provide both young people who are seeking employment and companies who are interested in finding employees with an opportunity to come together. The positions that need to be filled include those that are seasonal, part-time, and full-time, and according to the YEC website, there are thousands of employers who are looking to find just the right person for the job.
This event is open only to youth and it is recommended that those who wish to take part come prepared with their résumés and be ready for on-the-spot interviews. Applications and other business Forms can be prepared ahead of time for events such as this so that there are plenty on hand for those who may want to fill one out.
This will be the 18th year that the Youth Hiring Fair has been held, and it attracts representatives of business in a wide variety of sectors, including public service, not-for-profit, industrial, retail and commercial.
The event is scheduled to be held starting at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 5, in Big Four in Stampede Park. Those who would like to learn more or find out which businesses and organizations will be represented are invited to visit the YEC Youth Hiring Fair website. Get a Free Quote for Forms
