Calgary panel addresses mental health

When it comes to promoting good mental health, everyone has a role to play, and a Calgary activity will help local companies address this issue.

The Calgary Chamber of Commerce has joined with the Calgary Counselling Centre to offer the National Depression Screening Day Engagement Forum, and it has been set for early October. It will include a panel discussion led by subject matter experts, and there may be sponsorship opportunities available.

The two-hour long activity will explore mental health issues such as depression, and it will offer insight into how it may impact a workplace. Advice for ensuring that appropriate supports are in place will be shared, and everyone will walk away with actionable tips. The audience can mix and mingle sharing their own best practices, and it is being held as part of the larger National Depression Screening Day campaign taking place across the country.

Information sessions, expert-led panels and other functions where a lot of details and advice will be shared may call for the services available at a local Print shop. Items like promotional Pens and small Notebooks can be prepared to distribute so that the attendees can jot down any points they feel are especially important.

The organizers of the National Depression Screening Day Engagement Forum have scheduled the event for October 8th. More details, including its venue, can be found on its website.
