An upcoming workshop can help anyone, whether they are interested for professional or personal reasons, understand how culture can color how a person reacts to death.
Arranged by Hospice Calgary, the event is being offered as part of a larger series of community meetings that will both educate the general public and equip them with both knowledge and resources that they can use and share with others. They are each two hours long, and will include input from local subject matter experts.
During this session of the “Dying to Know“ program, the participants will learn about how a person's traditions and cultural background can affect how they view mortality, and Funeral Director and manager of Community Relations with McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes K. Cloutier will be leading the event. The attendees will be invited to ask questions and share their own stories, and there will be time for networking as well.
