The 3rd annual Brix n Blox LEGO Fan Expo is taking place next month in Calgary.
This event will attract fans of all ages who enjoy LEGO and other construction toys. There will be door prizes of LEGO sets, a builder’s contest and displays presented by the Southern Alberta LEGO Users Group.
The builder’s contest is open to people of all ages. There are four categories of competition: ages 3-7, 8-11, 12-15 and 16 and over. Participants will receive two tickets to the expo, a badge and a swag bag. The entry fees are $10 for children between the ages of 3 and 7, $20 for those aged 8 to 15 and $30 for 16 and over. Each piece will be judged on presentation, originality, space and structure, use of color and the back story.
There will be stop-motion animation workshops and building stations as well as a Minifig Trading Area and a used LEGO sale. Food trucks will also be on hand.
Calgary flyer printing firms are often asked to provide advertising materials for events like this.
The Brix n Blox LEGO Fan Expo will be held at the Chinese Cultural Centre on September 22 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tickets are $7 each for adults and $5 for seniors and children aged 12 and younger. Visit the website for more information.
