Many people ride the bus each day in Calgary, and some even meet and fall in love while doing so. Now, Calgary Transit wants to hear their stories.

Stats show that over 500,000 people ride the bus each weekday and, for some of them, it provides a chance to meet someone special. According to Ron Collins, who is a spokesperson for Calgary Transit, the organization wants to hear these tales of love and romance, and it has already received some entries to its Valentine’s Day contest.

At least one couple met each other while riding the bus, according to the Calgary Sun. Several years ago, John Ross and his present day wife started talking to one another during their daily commute, and 10 years later, they are married and have children. Since the bus played a big role in their relationship, they even drove to their wedding in one that was fully decked out with wedding decorations.

The contest closes on February 9th, and the winner will be chosen the following day. The winning story will be announced on February 13th, with a prize of bus passes, Valentines treats and printed items from Calgary Transit being awarded.
