Calgary to celebrate October with The Great Root Bear

Calgary families have been invited to follow The Great Root Bear for a day filled with October-themed fun.

A&W Quarry Park has partnered with The Painted Fish Performing Arts Society for The Great Root Beer Oktoberfest, a kid-friendly activity that will combine a day out in the fresh air with costumed characters from the Wizard of Oz. The activity will help to promote the not-for-profit theatre company’s upcoming staging of the play.

Admission will be free of charge. The families that come out will be invited to mix and mingle with The Scarecrow, Dorothy, The Cowardly Lion and The Tin Man, and there will be an assortment of fun competitions on offer. Everyone can try their luck in the root beer chug-a-lug, and they will also be able to put their strength to the test in the root beer carrying contest. The Great Root Beer obstacle course will be set up, and live entertainers will also be on hand.

To add an extra touch of excitement to the activity, an even split draw is in the works. Many event organizers order Promotional Products printed with their Logo Design to distribute during a special celebration like this.

The Great Root Beer Oktoberfest will be on offer on October 26th at 2487 91 Avenue Southeast. The festivities will begin at 11:00 am.
