A fundraiser has been set up to try to make the lives of Calgarians who have been diagnosed with breast cancer a little bit easier, and will welcome a special guest who will share her personal experience of living with the disease.
The Hyatt Regency Calgary will be the location for a luncheon that will both raise funds and share information about breast cancer. Wings of Hope Foundation has organized the function, and the proceeds will be used to help low-income individuals meet the extra expenses that can come with a cancer diagnosis.
The luncheon is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am, and Gord Gillies will once again serve as the Master of Ceremonies. The keynote speaker for the occasion will be gold medal winner Kikkan Randall, who is a world champion cross country skier and will be sharing her own story about her battle with breast cancer.
Tickets to take a seat during the luncheon are $100 each, and donations will also be welcomed from anyone who would like to help but cannot attend in person. Event programs can help to provide the attendees with even more information about the cause, and these can be prepared for this sort of function by a printing services company.
The Wings of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation’s annual “Never Walk Alone” fundraiser has been scheduled for September 27. Anyone with questions can contact the organizer through its Facebook page.
