Calgary class to raft watercolour holiday cards

Watercolour paints can be used to create a wide variety of items, and a Calgary workshop will introduce this technique to a crop of budding artists.

An Intro to Watercolor Workshop has been scheduled by Kensington Art Supply and Instruction, and in keeping with the season, the attendees will be preparing Holiday Cards. This will provide them with the chance to test drive the world of watercolours, and the supplies will be provided.

During the class, the ticket holders will be walked through various techniques. They will learn different washes, as well as wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet and dry-on-dry methods of painting, and they will also be taught how to create special looks using non-standard tools. The use of light and shadow, as well as tips for painting holiday trees and ornaments is on the agenda, and all experience levels are welcome. Drop ins will not be accommodated.
