What's Happening in Calgary, AB…

An event has been planned for Calgary that will see people coming together for a gala evening in support of the Calgary Humane society.

Cocktails for Critters will combine signature drinks with gourmet bites and a variety of entertainment. There will be a Rescues on the Runway portion of the evening, as well as an Animal Alumni meet and greet, and a photobooth. A table will also be set up where guests can select a special treat to take home to their furry friends, and an auction will also be held. Marketing services can be used to help promote events such as this throughout the local community.

Funds from the event will be used to help the local humane society in its efforts to help homeless, abused, and neglected animals. Each year, as many as 7,700 are taken in by the facility, and its staff investigates more than 1,400 reports of animal cruelty.

Early bird tickets for Cocktails for Critters, which will take place on October 1 at The Westin Calgary, have been priced at $100 each, or $90 each for a group of 10 or more. After August 17, tickets will be $125 each. Those who would like to make a contribution but who are not able to attend are welcome to make a donation.
