UK band to play Midland area

After having to cancel original concerts in Australia, a beloved British band has announced it rescheduled tour dates for January, including a performance in Perth.

Fans of pop music and ska sounds in Midland and other parts of Western Australia will rejoice to hear the UK reggae all-stars UB40 will still be coming to Perth, with a rescheduled concert set in stone for the new year.

One of Britain’s most popular musical groups, UB40 were forced to push back their eagerly anticipated tour of Oz because of COVID-19 restrictions and to protect their fans down under. To inform ticket holders of cancelled gigs and shows with eye-catching notices, live music venues like stadiums, arenas and concert halls often enlist the aid of experienced poster printing services.

The band intended to celebrate their 40th anniversary alongside their latest release “For the Many” back in 2020 but will now bring the same show to antipodean audiences in January. Talking about the brand-new studio recording, a spokesperson for the group said:

"It gave us an opportunity to go back to our roots and draw on the 1970s-style reggae that inspired us to be in a band in the first place.”

UB40 will now play live in concert at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre based at 21 Mounts Bay Road in Perth on Tuesday, January 17.
