A programme designed to promote and support young artists is being held at an arts centre in Midland this year.
Artists aged between 12 and 25 can get involved in an initiative called HyperVision 2026: Journey. Now in its 19th year, the annual event welcomes a wide range of artistic mediums.
Professional and amateur artists sometimes look to expert Print shops for high-resolution reproductions of their work that have been digitally printed.
The latest edition of the event encourages young creatives in the city to submit work that explores, displays and discusses their personal interpretation of the 2026 theme “Journey”.
Multiple categories are available for artists to enter including traditional media like pencil, graphite, watercolour and oils, but also photography, fashion, sculpture, jewellery, experimental media and short film.
The City of Swan is presenting the programme, which is included in the wider Hyper Series, an initiative led by young people to support other young people who curare and create while celebrating culture and art in the community. It also aims to offer a platform for residents of the region seeking a career in the arts.
HyperVision 2026: Journey will run at the Midland Junction Arts Centre (MJAC) from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, August 9. Situated in the centre of the suburb, MJAC can be found at 276 Great Eastern Highway in Midland.Get a Free Quote for Print
