Visitors to the City of Swan, including Midland, are enjoying a refreshed look at the popular tourist region from the local information bay.
Situated across from Lilac Hill Park in West Swan Road, the Swan Valley Information Bay has been upgraded to include new and updated information panels.
The information bay has been described by David Lucas, the City of Swan Mayor, as an ‘essential pit stop’ when people visit the area, especially for the first time.
The region has for many years been the subject of major marketing campaigns involving brochure printing and a host of other Forms of advertising.
The Mayor says the Information Bay plays a key role for visitors who are able to pull into the site and gain ideas on which to create a comprehensive itinerary and added:
“You will find detailed maps of the region as well as the food, wine and family fun trails.
“Driving around the iconic Swan Valley is an incredible experience, and with over 150 attractions there’s an adventure out there to suit everyone.”
The Swan Valley Visitor Centre is situated on the corner of Swan and Meadow streets, Guildford is also a valuable resource for visitors with staff able to provide information on the region’s top venues and attractions, according to Cr Charlie Zannino.
He said the visitor centre team reflects the friendliness of people living within the Swan Valley community and they are eager to pass on their extensive knowledge of the area and what it has to offer.
