Residents are being invited to have an input into strategies outlined in the Midland Local Area Plan between now and March 31.
A City of Swan spokesperson said it was considered a top priority to gain feedback from stakeholders and the community and to include them in the overall process of decision-making for the future, adding:
“We want to hear about their experiences, thoughts and opinions on places and spaces around Midland, Viveash, Middle Swan, Woodbridge, Midvale, Bellevue and Koongamia.”
He said information about what makes each place so great and what could ultimately make them even better is an indication of the type of feedback being sought.
As a guide, the spokesperson said those wishing to take part should think about areas that are important to daily life such as safety, cycle paths, transport, and parks as well as access to events, activities and Aboriginal culture. They should also consider if there was anything lacking or missing.
The comments, he said, will help guide the local area’s development until about 2025. Printing services are often fully engaged to ensure hard Copies of documents such as the Midland Local Area Plan are available at public sessions and throughout the consultation period.
