Midland to host raw dessert workshop

As part of its ongoing programme of informative presentations, the City of Swan Libraries will be offering a crash course in how to reduce sugar intake.

The December edition of the workshop entitled “Raw Desserts and Reducing Sugar” will educate attendees on the prevalent problem of sugar addiction and will help those seeking a healthier lifestyle by kicking their processed sugar habit. Taught by self-styled “Raw Food Girl” Tamara, the event will help people quit using sugar using the simplest option possible.

The workshop focuses on reducing sugar intake through the principle of swapping out processed sugar for all-natural alternatives. Professional dieticians and other health experts holding courses and classes like this can use business card printing services to create smart calling cards displaying their contact details.

Those participating will learn how to make healthier treats like raw brownies and Snickers slices to replace biscuits and cake. Each attendee will also receive a recipe card they can take away to make a treat at home.

The Raw Desserts and Reducing Sugar workshop will take place at the Old Midland Court House, at 49 Helena Street in Midland, on Wednesday, December 8 from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Those interested in attending can contact Midland Public Library for further details or to book. Admission to the event is available for only those aged 14 and above.
