Midland to host music festival

A dance music festival is coming soon to Midland.

Entitled “The Ninth Wave”, the music event presented by THE FARM and Perth Festival with support from Co3 Contemporary Dance is set to take place at City Beach in Midland. Organisers of major outdoor events like fairs and festivals seeking eye-catching signage often look to professional banner printing services for a solution.

The festival is described by its organisers as:

“An apocalyptic narrative performed with wild and fearless abandon.”

The festival is inviting those attending to party like it is the year 1999. Using the beach as a performance space, dancers from both Co3 and THE FARM will perform together to an original score artfully scored by Ben Ely of Regurgitator.

THE FARM is a long-established group of theatre and dance artists who thrive on collaborative works to create unique performances. Nominated back in 2016 for a Helpmann Award for its production “The Last Blast”, the dance collective is taking the same themes and ideas explored in the work and bringing them to a far grander scale. Featuring an apocalyptic theme, with this new event THE FARM is continuing its mission to demystify contemporary-style dance for the world.

The Ninth Wave Festival will be held at City Beach, Shop 73/247 on Great Eastern Highway in Midland. The festival will begin on Tuesday, March 1 and end on Saturday, March 5.
