Midland to advocate healthy eating

An upcoming event in Midland is designed to help parents prepare and cook healthier food for their families.

Midland will be presenting a programme called “nom! Children” this Autumn and is inviting families from around the suburb to take part. The free event will run from late April until late May and is designed to promote healthier eating habits.

Organisations holding educational events sometimes trust dedicated brochure printing services to create informative Booklets that give attendees a taste of what’s in store for them and answer FAQs.

Open to parents and carers of children aged up to five years old the programme includes a free creche and children can re-join the event when it is time to eat. Taking place across five weeks in two and a half hour long sessions the programme has been designed to deliver a learning experience through discussions, interactive activities, and hands-on cooking.

Participants can find out how to make tastier and healthier dishes on a budget, take home free recipes and share a meal together at the end of every session.

The programme is operated by Midland Women’s Health Care Place and will start on Tuesday, April 23 and run until Tuesday May 21. The venue is located at 24 Junction Parade in Midland.

The programme is free to attend thanks to funding from Telethon.
