A multitalented American rap artist will be playing live at a major live music venue in Perth this year.
Fans of music from Midland will soon get their chance to see the Emmy Award-winning performer Lizzo live in concert this coming July. As part of “The Special Tour 2023”, the singer, rapper, actress and flautist will be playing the RAC Arena in Perth with new music from her latest studio album. The tour takes its name from Lizzo’s much applauded new release which is packed with disco-funk. For support her tour will have a special guest appearance by the Zimbabwean-born Australian rapper and singer-songwriter, Tkay Maidza.
Born Melissa Viviane Jefferson in Detroit, Lizzo relocated to Texas at age 10 before settling in Minneapolis after college, where she started her musical career. She reached mainstream success in 2019 with her third studio recording, Cuz I Love You, which hit number four in the US Billboard 200, spawning the two popular singles, "Tempo" and "Juice".
Lizzo will be performing at the RAC Arena at 700 Wellington Street in Perth on Friday, July 14. The show will start at 7pm and end at 10pm.
