An American band are set to celebrate a major milestone this year and will be bringing the festivities to a venue in Perth as part of an Australian tour.
Those who love music in Midland will soon get to see La Dispute in Concert when they perform the entirety of their world-famous album “Wildlife” at the Magnet House Night Club in Perth. Wildlife was the band’s sophomore release and is now 12 years old. La Dispute originally intended to celebrate the decade since the recording was unleased, but COVID regulations demanded a delay.

A band formed in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the United States, La Dispute wrote Wildlife about their home. A concept album, Wildlife examines the ever-changing city and those who live there, along with the common tragedies they seem to face every day.
The album’s songs are related through sonic short stories and oral journal entries expressed by a young man searching for meaning after the fallout of an unnamed and tragic event.
On Friday, August 25, La Dispute will be on stage at the Magnet House Night Club. The Perth nightspot can be found at 393 Murray Street; the gig will start at 7.30pm and end at 11.30pm.
