Residents of Midland and throughout the City of Swan have an opportunity to learn more about sustainable living at a series of free workshops being held over the next six months.
The aim of the 2020 series, called ‘Thinking Green’, is to broaden the knowledge of people and provide ideas for helping the environment, such as sustainable changes to the way they live.
Mayor Kevin Bailey said there was a lot to be gained by attending the workshops, including ideas for each person to make a real difference in a positive way for the planet while also saving money.
The topic has led to programmes such as Thinking Green being very popular, according to the Mayor. Classes such as this that address topics with a global interest can make use of flyer printing services to attract more attendees.
The Mayor said locals had been supporting Thinking Green since 2014, when it was first introduced and new topics were being introduced annually to ensure participants were able to achieve optimum results from their efforts.
In April, children will also be able to participate in turning recycled materials into something useful at workshops to be held during the school holidays.
The innovative Thinking Green sessions will be presented at local libraries and venues as a series of free workshops until June this year.
