Midland residents have the chance to give their views on the direction of local communities over the coming weeks, as the City of Swan council seeks input into its Strategic Community Plan.
The plan sets out the council’s priorities for the next 10 years, and City of Swan Mayor Charlie Zannino said it was important for locals to have a say.
The vision includes areas such as housing and the importance of improving the local economy, and creating social networks and community groups.
The council is holding a number of information workshops to give people more details about the plan and hear views, and Midland residents have two chances to attend.
The first session will be on Wednesday, November 4 from 10:00 am to midday, and the second will be on Monday November 16 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Both events will be held at the Old Midland Courthouse.
Printing services have been used to create questionnaires, which can be filled in after the workshop, and participants can also speak directly to council staff.
The printed questionnaires are also available at local libraries and council service centres, and opinions on the strategic plan can also be made online via the City of Swan council website.
Places for the workshops need to be booked in advance through the council. The consultation period ends on Friday, November 20.
