Council seeks feedback on Swan Active Midland plans

The City of Swan is conducting a survey to help identify important design aspects to be considered during the $16 million refurbishment of Swan Active Midland, planned for next year.

The ultimate aim of the upgrade is to improve the facility's safety, operation, accessibility and functionality. The works will focus on the centre facilities, sports courts, indoor pools, fitness room for groups and the gym and will also include upgrades to the creche, change rooms, main facade and entry.

According to a City of Swan spokesperson, the refurbishments are being administered to allow Swan Active Midland to better serve its patrons and the community both now and into the future, and he added:

“The survey will help us to identify what is most important to the community, what would help them to lead a healthier lifestyle and their thoughts about the current facilities and services.”

Completion of the survey will also provide an opportunity for participants to win a voucher to a local business worth $200.

In addition to the ability to fill out the survey online, Council has also utilised local printing services to produce hard Copies of the survey which are available by placing an order via the council website or by phoning Swan Active Midland direct. The deadline for survey submissions is 5pm on May 29.

All comments and feedback will be considered and an overview of the results will appear on the Council website's Swan Active Midland refurbishment Project Page.
