Canning Vale golfers will soon come together for a good cause, as the WA Centre for Perinatal Mental Health & Parenting Support hosts their charity golf day.
Featuring 18 holes of golf, raffles, prizes, food, drinks and a guest speaker, all proceeds from the event will go to supporting mental health for fathers and local men.
Open to all community members, the event is focused on Men’s Health Month and provides a space for male members of the local community to connect and recharge. Special guest speaker Corey Gaidzionis will present on the topic of men’s mental health, exploring strategies to build emotional intelligence and starting a discussion on “showing up for yourself”.
Keen golfers will have the chance to show off their skills, with prizes up for grabs for the longest drive and a hole in one. Prizes will also be awarded on the day for the best dressed team and the biggest donation. The event will also feature a selection of mental health service stalls, providing information on managing mental health and starting tricky conversations.
Stall holders at this type of community event often turn to brochure printing as a way to pass out important information about resources and services.
The WA Centre for Perinatal Mental Health & Parenting Support’s charity golf day will take place at the Gosnells Golf Club in Canning Vale on Sunday, June 29.
