Adult nature lovers in the Bibra Lake area can join a session that will provide information about frogs local to Southwestern Australia.
The session will be led by Rohit Kanchi, who was once a passionate volunteer and now has an IT and administrative role in the Wetlands Centre, meaning he is able to combine his technological knowhow with his passion for nature in order to help further education and conservation efforts. He is also a major player in helping to organize the WA Wetlands Conference, which happens every year and commemorates World Wetlands Day.
On the evening, Kanchi will be exhibiting his extensive knowledge about the diverse native frog population as participants listen to the unique frog calls and understand both their habitats and habits. It is to be hoped that this will all take place under a canopy of stars as twilight fades and the frog chorus becomes louder.
Community events are often advertised by means of poster printing, undertaken at local Print shops.
The Frog Night Stalk is taking place on Wednesday, September 2 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Wetlands Centre Cockburn, 184 Hope Road, Bibra Lake. Tickets cost $35, and drinks and nibbles will be provided. Attendees should dress appropriately, including closed-in shoes, and should bring a water bottle and a torch with them.
