Visual artists living and working in Seaford are set to benefit from the launch of a new networking initiative being delivered by the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery this month.
Dubbed MPRG Connect, this inaugural event will be the first in a series of sessions aimed at enhancing the relationship between local artists and their regional gallery. The initiative will also seek to provide local artists with time, space, professional development and mentorship opportunities moving forward into the future. Networking groups such as this can benefit greatly from flyer printing to allow organisers to better communicate and reach their intended audience.
This first event is designed as an informal networking opportunity that will allow local artists to meet and connect with their various peers, while also taking in the gallery’s latest WINTER exhibition program during its opening week. The evening will also feature an introduction to the program by gallery supporter Susan McCulloch, the daughter of art critic and historian Allan McCulloch, who first founded the gallery in the early 1970s. Since then, the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery has grown to become the largest public gallery in the South East Melbourne region.
The MPRG Connect Launch event is planned to run on Thursday, 10th June commencing at 6pm. Drinks and nibbles will be provided, though bookings are essential and can be made via the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery website.
