Rock tribute bands to play in Seaford

A popular music venue in Seaford is soon to be the setting for two tribute bands that will celebrate revered American rock bands from the 1980s.

The local venue will see Australian tribute band, GN’R, playing in the guise of Guns n’ Roses, and Riot Act, who will be performing as Skid Row.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses included Axl Rose on vocals, Slash on lead guitar, Izzy Stradin on rhythm guitar and Steven Adler on drums. The success of the video for their single Welcome to the Jungle from the debut album Appetite for Destruction gave the band a massive following.

Other singles such as Sweet Child O’ Mine and Paradise City were also hits for the band.

Skid Row was formed around the same time as Guns N’ Roses. Popular songs from this American heavy metal band include Youth Gone Wild, I Remember You and Monkey Business.

On the night, the audience can expect performances that mirror the original bands, including some of the big hits. Colourful poster printing is often one way in which bands advertise to fans within the local community.

The GN’R Australian Guns N’ Roses Tribute Show, plus Riot Act Skid Row Tribute, will be appearing on Friday, 17 October, from 7pm until 11.30pm. The venue is Scotties Garage Café, which can be found at 71-77 Miles Grove in Seaford. Tickets cost $27.78.
