Residents of Frankston City, including Seaford, are being invited to complete a survey that will help shape the future of the Centenary Park Golf Course.
A Master Plan for the course, which was first established during the 1970s and has since become one of metropolitan Melbourne's most popular public courses, is currently being worked on by Frankston City Council.
The venue currently hosts a number of facilities including the club, customer service and golf retail building, practice green, driving range and the 18-hole course for golfers. Popular venues such as this are often highlighted in brochure printing campaigns that advertise local attractions.
A Master Plan was first devised in 2005 and this was followed by ongoing improvements, but the council is now proceeding to undertake a comprehensive review to broaden the original plan's reach to include the entire precinct and not just the course.
The council is currently giving club users, members and community residents an opportunity to provide feedback via an online or hard copy survey.
A council spokesperson said survey results will help establish the level of stakeholder and community need, commitment and support to the course and facilities at Centenary Park, as well as assist in revealing behavioural trends that will guide potential innovations in the future.
The survey, which includes a questionnaire and space for additional feedback, is due to close on August 2. It can be undertaken online or downloaded and either emailed or returned via the post to Frankston City Council.
