Charity footrace bound for Seaford

Seaford will soon host a running event to celebrate its natural environment and the spirit of its local community.

Those in Seaford seeking a good cause to support can participate in an upcoming event this spring. Dubbed “The Seaford Wetlands Fun Run”, the November race invites entrants from all over the suburb to run, jog or walk one of Victoria’s renowned places of natural beauty.

Organisers of fun runs and other charity races sometimes use banner printing services to create eye-catching signage for starting points and finish lines featuring sponsor’s branding.

The Seaford running event was designed to encourage people to get outside and enjoy physical activity while appreciating the wonder of the Wetlands area. However, it was also created to raise much needed funds for selected beneficiaries. Proceeds from the fun run support the Kindred Clubhouse, which supplies mental health services through a club-style environment, and Seaford’s State Emergency Services, a group of caring volunteers that help people in their thousands.

Runners can enter as an individual or alongside their family, and can still receive a medal and bib for their participation.

The Seaford Wetlands Fun Run is joint organised by Peninsula 2.0 and Seaford Little Athletics Club, and will take place on Sunday, November 24. The meeting point for the event is Patterson River Secondary College, which can be found at 70 to 98 Eel Race Road in Seaford.
