Record-breaking singer bound for Melbourne Southbank

An American singer, songwriter and author will perform live in Melbourne Southbank in 2022.

A new tour called Decades is bringing the music of Belinda Carlisle to Australian audiences. Raised in California, the celebrated singer and writer went on to become the lead vocalist of The Go-Go’s. The renowned group became the first all-girl band who penned and played their own music to reach number one.

Later, Carlisle left The Go-Go’s and enjoyed critical success as solo performer. The musician’s autobiography, titled “Lips Unsealed”, became a New York Times Best Seller. Carlisle and The Go-Go’s were given a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and this year, they were inducted into the renowned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Organisations issuing awards for achievements can sometimes use professional printing services to create branded certificates.

For over 35 years, the artist has impressed audiences with her own work, and the new tour celebrates all she achieved during this period. Those attending the show in Melbourne Southbank will have the privilege of hearing songs spanning Carlisle’s career like “Our Lips are Sealed”, “Circle in the Sand” and the 1997 radio favourite “Heaven is a Place on Earth”.

Belinda Carlisle will be performing for Melbourne audiences at The Palms at Crown, Level 3 at 8 Whiteman Street in Melbourne Southbank on Saturday, February 12th from 7.30 pm to 11.30 pm.
