New brochure for travel company

Chimu Adventures has been building a clientele in the luxury adventure travel market recently. It is now increasing its efforts with a new round of brochure printing featuring luxury Latin American travel ideas.

The tours featured in the brochure will be the first luxury holidays offered to the Australian market which focus specifically on Latin America. The brochure is to be released early in 2013.

Chimu Adventures director Greg Carter told online publication Travel Today that the company is responding to the rapidly increasing demand for big-ticket holidays. Carter spoke to Travel Today correspondent Anne Majumdar at the Amazonia Peru exhibition at the Instituto Cervantes in Sydney.

Chimu Adventures has its roots in budget travel and Greg Carter says the company is determined to remain faithful to its base market. He said:

"We started off as a backpacker brand eight years ago and we're mainly a tailor-made company now but we do tailor-made for people on backpacker budgets and for people on five-star budgets.”

The main destination for the company is Peru. Every year thousands of Chimu’s customers take holidays in the popular Latin American destination. Carter also has a commitment to eco-tourism and states that the company is determined to find the right partners.

Carter believes that the travel trade has a big influence on consumers’ choices of holiday even though the modern travelling public is much more aware. Chimu began by dealing directly with the public but has recently increased the concentration of business conducted through the trade. One of the ways of increasing business is by conducting trade events in Melbourne and other major centres.
