Melbourne to host drag queen performance this July
Drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova will be performing live on stage this July for the Trixie & Katya Live: UNHhhh Tour.
As part of their world premiere tour, the global drag queens will be back on stage for the first time together in the country since 2015. The audience are promised a show that is not edited, not censored and void of apologies. As such, attendees can prepare for laughter as the queens banter on stage. Comedy events like this can gain great traction from poster printing.
Mattel, an American drag queen, comedian, author, entrepreneur, actor, singer-songwriter and television personality, is the drag persona of Brian Michael Firkus. Mattel first became popular after winning the television programme “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” in its third season. Currently, Mattel co-hosts UNHhhh, a web-series, which debuted in June 2016, and The Trixie & Katya Show, which premiered in November 2017.
Zamolodchikova is the drag persona for Brian Joseph McCook, who, like Mattel, is also an actor, author and comedian. Zamolodchikova placed as a runner up on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
The show will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is located on 1 Convention Centre Place in South Wharf, within close proximity to Melbourne Southbank. It will take place on Saturday, 17th July from 8.30pm to 11pm. Tickets are priced at $79 for general admission.
