Holiday music joy will be available for people of Melbourne Southbank in the middle of December.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will be performing modern holiday favourites as well as more traditional carols and other Christmas selections on the night.
Songs sure to raise spirits include Sleigh Ride, Silent Night, Joy to the World and music from The Nutcracker.
The MSO is conducted by Leonard Wales. Singing comes from a vocal quartet, care of the Melba Opera Trust. The four singers are Jesse Linke (soprano), Syrah Toril (mezzo-soprano), Damian Arnold (tenor) and Aidan Hodder (baritone).
The performance lasts approximately 50 minutes with no interval, and is designed to be especially appealing to children. There is no dress code, so all can wear whatever is comfortable and enjoy the experience to the full. There will be opportunities to sing along and take part in the action.
