John Bishop has been flexing his funny bones since the year 2000. A former semi-professional footballer, he performed his first stand-up show in Manchester and enrolled in many competitions, winning North-West Comedian of the Year Award, Best Newcomer and Best Stand-up.
Not just an accomplished comedian, Bishop has acted and presented shows, both on the radio and television, including a spell as a companion of the 13th Doctor in BBC’s Doctor Who. He has raised large sums of money for charity, including taking part in a triathlon from Paris to London, raising over four million pounds for Sport Relief.
Bishop has received many accolades for his stand-up routines, such as:
“Observational humour delivered so skilfully it looks effortless.”
And:
“A performer of rare natural charm…the hottest stand-up going.”
A seasoned performer, Bishop will be sure to delight his audience with his keenly honed talent and personable manner. Poster printing can be undertaken locally to promote upcoming shows like this one.
