The event brings together leading international and Australian chefs, food producers and restaurateurs for a major celebration of food and drinks that stretches over 17 days in March. CEO of Food and Wine Victoria, Anthea Loucas Bosha explained that Melbourne has a full array of wine and food experiences on offer during the festival, adding:
“From the perennially popular Bank of Melbourne World’s Longest Lunch to our gastronomy program at The House of Food and Wine, the family-friendly River Graze along Southbank and a spate of bespoke gourmet dinners across the city, this program celebrates the great breadth and diversity of the Victorian food and wine experience.”
As part of the festival, the World’s Longest Lunch is to be held on March 8 as a local celebration of International Women’s Day, and will see Karen Martini and a team of all-female chefs join in excess of 1,600 diners at a 500 metre table setting in Victoria Gardens, Prahran.
Meanwhile, top chefs from around the world will be displaying their culinary talents at some of the city’s most loved restaurants. Promotional Products featuring the logos of festivals and events are often available as keepsakes.
