Fashion exhibition headed to Melbourne Southbank

The Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto will begin in Melbourne Southbank this December.

This exhibition is one of a kind in Australia, as it focuses exclusively on the major contribution made by the well-known Gabrielle Chanel to the fashion culture of the 20th century. Printing services are often used to Print Brochures, Flyers, Catalogues and other marketing material for exhibitions like this.

The Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto first premiered in Paris in autumn last year. Produced by the Palais Galliera, with additional funding provided by the Direction du Patrimoine de Chanel, which is the heritage department of the fashion house, the exhibition is curated by both the Director of the museum, Miren Arzalluz, and its Head of Collections, Veronique Belloir.

The designs have been obtained from the collections of the Patrimoine de Chanel and Palais Galliera in Paris. It is supplemented by significant designs borrowed from both private collections and large public museums. This enables the exhibition to showcase the breadth of Gabrielle Chanel’s work. Some examples include an evening dress made out of white lace from the 1993 spring-summer collection, and an evening cape lined with marabou from the 1920s.

The fashion exhibition is ticketed, with tickets costing $30 for adults and $10 for children. It will be held at the National Gallery of Victoria, located on 180 St Kilda Road in Melbourne Southbank. The exhibition will take place on the ground level of the art gallery.

The Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto will take place from Sunday, 5th December 2021 to Monday, 25th April 2022.
