Demand for Business Cards, Letterheads and Graphic Design Services could be set to rise in Melbourne, Victoria, where the hospitality and retail industries are showing notable progress.
According to the City’s Lord Mayor, Robert Doyle, the two industries made up 6% of the state capital’s $90.6bn economy and were identified in a recently released Melbourne Retail and Hospitality Strategy report as reaching a record high value in the city.
He said that in the past year, it seemed Melbourne was in big demand, with 86% occupancy rates in hotels and 11 million visitors.
The Lord Mayor said he was not surprised with the figures in view of recent major developments in retail, more attractions to explore above and below ground, and the current vacancy rate, which remains stable at 3.2%.
He added that cities worldwide would envy Melbourne’s diverse hospitality and retail sectors.
The report revealed that that the city hosted a varied and well-balanced retail sector, made up of 49% independent brands and 51% high street retailers.
There was also a 3% in floor space occupancy for hospitality and retail, which has now reached an area of 2.78 million square metres.
