To many in the UK, she is quite simply a National Treasure, many knowing her as presenter and darling of quiz shows, including the ever-popular QI (Quite Interesting). Sandi Toksvig delights all who watch her with her quick wit, gentle self-deprecation and genuine curiosity about her fellow man. The Times newspaper describes an encounter with Toksvig as:

A prolific writer as well as entertainer, Toksvig has written live drama as well as both fiction and non-fiction for adults and children. She has also written musicals, including Mamma Mia, The Party and Big Night Out at the Little Sands Picture Palace Theatre. In recognition of her writing, Toksvig became president of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain in 2019. Toksvig founded the Women’s Equality Party in 2014 and has also received an OBE. More recently, she has undertaken a travel programme in the UK called Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig.
